The second chakra, called Svadhistana, is located at the lower belly and inner pelvis.
The Sacral Chakra is associated with passion and pleasure; and it is located in the pelvic area. While the root chakra is satisfied with survival, the 2nd chakra seeks pleasure, happiness, and enjoyment.
Do you love your body? Do you enjoy feeling your body? When was the last time you walked barefoot on the grass and felt the sensation of ground underneath your feet?
When the sacral chakra is out of alignment or blocked, you may experience chronic lower back pain, ovarian cysts or other reproductive issues, urinary tract infections, impotence, pain during intercourse, complications with the kidney or bladder, and other pelvic–lower abdominal issues.
Mentally, blocked sacral energy can be associated with addiction, repressed emotions, and lack of creative energy.
We also experience the wounds of our collective local cultural struggles over many sexual issues in society. On one hand sexuality is magnified and glorified (sometimes too much), and on the other hand it is rejected or shunned. This results in either blocked or excessive second chakra issues, and we want to find a balance.
To help align or open this chakra, you can meditate on what you need to do: Are you overactive sexually? Or not active enough? Do you find satisfaction with healthy sexual relationships? Do you need to experiment more sexually, or scale it back? Trying all these options and finding your root problem will be key.
Another option that you may have is to find chakra stones/crystals that show your most powerful or least powerful chakras, like these, so you can know what chakra to focus on.
No wonder we have so many issues with our passion center, the wellspring of feelings, enjoyment, and sensuality.
Passion is the fuel of creative energy. Everything you create, a poem, a drawing, a recipe, speech, website, or anything else you can think of; originates from the energy of sacral chakra. It is also where your fertility originates.
A person with an open sacral chakra is passionate, present in their body, sensual, creative, and connected to their feeling.
